Since April 2009 and after 130 years’ existence, the Geneva Estate Agents Association has changed its name and is now called the Swiss Association of Real Estate Agents in Geneva (USPI Geneva). This change has taken place in the framework of the harmonisation measures and natural rapprochement with other cantonal associations in French-speaking Switzerland, which already bear the name of the parent association of real estate professionals USPI Switzerland.
Given the importance of some matters, such as new legislation relating to leases, there are good reasons for Geneva real estate professionals, who are pioneers in owner-tenant relations, to be represented effectively at federal level by our parent association on the basis of a shared identity.
